Redtails Makes $19 Million at the Box Office!!!

From Hollywood Reporter...The domestic box office enjoyed another strong weekend as Screen Gems' Underworld: Awakening and George Lucas' Red Tails topped the box office with $25.4 million and $19.1 million, respectively, driving revenues up by more than 30 percent despite wintery weather in the Midwest and East.

Red Tails, about the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II, did far better than expected. Lucas spent 20 years pursuing the project, and recently revealed he couldn't get any studio to finance the film because of an all-black cast. A new online petition is collecting signatures to get E! to cancel the clan’s coterie of series. The Kardashians have long had plenty of critics (kritics?) but Kim Kardashian’s much-ballyhooed 72-day marriage pushed the family’s haters over the edge.

“In a grass roots effort, we have collected [thousands of] signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming,” petition organizer Cyndy Snider said in a statement to Yahoo TV. “We feel these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top…
