white history month??
idk if its just me but im tired of white ppl (no offense) talking about y theres no white history month.....we blacks have one month and yall have 11 months to celebrate wateva u want and yall complaining.? yall lucky we dont demand another month but we lucky just 2 have that one month...ugh that urks the mess out of me. like grow up and lut us have this lousy month. all the hell yall put us threw

Actually, from that perspective, I would actually support a White History Month in America.
1 month to recall the theft of lands from Native Americans, then from the Mexicans... to recall the retardation of the KKK and all thoe other white supremacy movements, to remember the cultural suppression and 'integration' of non-European culture, revisit the widespread environmental disfigurement, exploitation and pollution, the lynchings, the riots, ETC ETC ETC

We could celebrate the good things White people have achieved along with eveybody else of all races. Just try and celebrate life as a whole. Just a thought.

Perhaps, but the bitching that would result in the media and everything wouldn't be worth it. Besides, I'd argue that people are better at remembering the good things; it's usually the bad ones that tend to get left-out of the history books.
Black History Month is worthwhile, because most historians have been European and therefore, had a larger influence on how history is perceived. Without effort put into providing a balancing perspective, it leaves itself open to bias. Of course, the ideal situation would be to analyse history without any racial undertones, but some people to have a problem overlooking those differences.

Wat I want to know is, why is there not a Jewish history month? Jewish ppl went thru hell for years. Btw, ppl of all races can celebrate those other 11 months. A white history month would be fair. And I think they just threw black history month there just to make black ppl happy, like a gift that says sorry fo te trouble. In ur last sentence if ur referring to slavery, black ppl also had slaves (Jews) and they even sold some of their own ppl for money or as punishment for a crime. Oh, btw u can't just get a whole bunch of ppl to add a month, that's like adding 25 hrs in a day, it won't happen.

btw, the reason y we have black history month or black pride or black anything, was because during the time when america was extremely raceist, blacks began to give up and accept that white ppl r better than them. but a new generation of blacks rebelled and did not accept their parents 'reality'. this new generation (people like M.L.K Jr. Rosa Parks, Carter G. Woodson, etc) help make america less racist. Carter G. Woodson is the founder of lack history month. All of this was to make african americans happy of their race and color, proud of their heritage. so the white ppl in charge are like: ok this guy made his point, we should give them a month 2 be happy, like a gift that says sorry fo te trouble (said in meh previous post). Point= black pride & stuff is to make blacks feel better bout the selves.
