NEWS: DOMINOS DELIVERS A PIZZA AND RACIST MESSAGE...

Hmm... I wonder what it says.

That n-word you see crossed out is the n-word you are thinkin' about. After Carla Robinson of Apex, North Carolina received the couple of pizzas she ordered on the 20th of August (2010), her ten year old niece pointed out something odd on the bottom of the receipt, “N----- DONT TIP.” This was put in place of where you would have delivery instructions such as “Deliver to side door,” or “Ring doorbell 3 times, knock twice and caw like a crow to gain entrance.” This part of the delivery slip is meant to be seen on the computer monitor back at the store as some sort of tip/reminder. Obviously something like “Don't Tip” or “Scams for Free Pizza” would be put here minus the racial term.

After the Mrs. Robinson complained to her Domino's, the manager promptly fired the delivery boy. However, the problem persisted. She has since been getting threatening phone calls from either the person whom was fired or from coworkers or friends. Carla has quoted the callers saying,“They were saying basically the same stuff that was on the receipt. They were saying N-this, you got me fired, you did this, you did that, just being real ugly to me, just being real mean... I'm thinking it is 2010, it's never good to do that. You can't do stuff like that anymore.”

This is pretty sad on all accounts. The woman who has done nothing wrong, besides apparently not tipping, is being harassed because of a comment made against her cost the person who made the said comment their job. Grow up, kid. You made a mistake and now you gotta deal with it.

Pat O'Leary has since issued this statement:
"I’m horrified this occurred. This was the action of a lone individual and it does not reflect my views. Upon learning of the incident, the general manager of the store fired the responsible person immediately. I have reached out to the customer and offered my sincere apology.”

Can't really blame anyone besides the person who put the comment on the system. It may not even been the delivery driver that delivered her pizza that one time because she has been clearly a previous customer. Either way, we all learned a valuable lesson. Proofread and don't be a racist. They are both amazing qualities we can have.

Comment by J on August 24, 2010 at 7:01pm: to tell you the truth I worked for dominos for a brief moment and those comment are seen by everyone and there are reports that print out with changes in comments and not only that the manager of the store had to know about it for one you have to read the ticket the whole time the box is sitting on the shelf waiting for the pizza to come out of the oven that was no mistake you can also tell how long ago it was put in there they need to sue dominos for who knows how many things but 1st find out if its a franchise or a corporate store also believe me they knew what was on the box and the manager knew actually in some cases only a manager should be on the oven anyway
